Kris Alingod - AHN Contributor Boston, MA (AHN) - Two window washers in Boston were saved from falling 37 floors on Wednesday, according to reports.
Julio Ortiz and Kyle Redmond were washing windows near the top of a 40-story building along State Street when one end of the platform they were on collapsed. The washers held on to the ropes of the rigging until the Boston Fire Department arrived.
There were no serious injuries, but Redmond was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both men are employees of Harvard Maintenance, a building services company that operates in 24 states. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration is investigating the incident.
