Vietnamese boats intercepted on Indonesian waters

Jakarta (The Jakarta Post/ANN) - Indonesia's National Police patrol boats, Bisma 520 and Jalak 635, have intercepted 16 Vietnamese boats, arresting 157 crew on the Natuna waters on Riau Islands, allegedly for illegal fishing.
Bisma 520 tugging eight boats to Batam, arrived Thursday morning, and Jalak 635 pulled another eight boats to West Kalimantan.
Bisma 520 commander Comr. Sigit N Hidayat said that these boats failed to show any legal documents and they were charged for violating the 2004 Fisheries Law and the 1992 Aviation and Immigration Law.
Police seized from them 20 tons of fish worth 11 billion rupiah (US$1.22 million)
"We've submitted all the evidence to Riau Island Police," Sigit was quoted by kompas.com as saying.
